Taylor Lautner Knows How to Freak Out an Insurance Company

Taylor Lautner chats to reporters about Abduction and how he freaks out insurance companies with his stunt work!
Taylor Lautner’s most recent film may have swept the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night, but he had something decidedly non-”Twilight” on his mind on the red carpet.
That would be “Abduction,” the young star’s first major movie in which he doesn’t play a werewolf, out next month. In the action film, the 19-year-old plays a man attempting to find out his true identity after seeing his image on a missing-persons website — an adventure that lends itself to some pretty intense stunts, the actor said.
“I slide down this huge glass awning to an escalator, and I actually did that all myself,” Lautner told E! News’ Marc Malkin outside the Gibson Amphitheater before heading inside, where he’d named choice male actor for his role in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.”
“The insurance company was freaking out the whole movie because every single day I’d show up and the question would be, ‘I’m doing all my stunts, right?’ And 99% of the time, the answer was ‘yes,’ which was great. But, yeah, I got a few bruises. But nothing too bad.”
As for the fans lining the carpet trying to catch a glimpse of him Sunday night, Lautner insisted he was still not accustomed to the fanfare.
“I don’t think I ever get used to it,” he said, smiling. “It’s always different in a way and so surreal.”
