Twilight fans were as supportive as ever this weekend when Breaking Dawn Part 1 was released on DVD/Blu-ray!
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 sold an estimated 3.2 million Blu-ray and DVD units in its first weekend of release, Summit Entertainment announced today. Since it became available Saturday, Feb. 10 at 12:01 AM, sales were approximately 18 percent ahead of the opening-weekend returns of the home video release of its predecessor, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.Additionally, sales via digital platforms exceeded those of previous Twilight films, accumulating approximately 50,000 in Electronic Sell Through transactions, which is a 47 percent increase over its predecessor. Meanwhile, the film racked up almost 80,000 video-on-demand transactions, which is a 142 percent increase over Eclipse.
