Pattinson Post had the good fortune of getting to interview Imperial Mammoth, whose song “Requiem on Water” will appear on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 1 soundtrack. The duo talk about their song and being Twilight fans.
PP:The song “Requiem on Water” is not on your website. Was it written for this soundtrack or was it chosen by Summit Entertainment?IM: We didn’t write the song for the soundtrack, but it’s crazy how well it fits in to the Twilight story. It was one of the songs that came to us so quickly — I think we wrote the entire thing parts and all in under half an hour — that it almost felt like we were getting it from somewhere outside of ourselves. The Twilight Universe maybe?PP: What has the reaction been since word got out about this?IM: Outstanding. It’s true what they say that the Twilight Saga has the most passionate, engaging fans. We’ve been blessed to meet some of you and we can”t wait to share “Requiem on Water” when the soundtrack comes out November 8th.PP: Are either of you Twilight fans?IM: Absolutely! We haven’t missed an opening weekend, and we’re really getting in to the books now. Leonard is especially grateful that Rob has brought the whole “shockingly pale” thing back to sexy. Leonard looks a bit like he was raised in caves.
